Today I had the fastest skateboarding I’ve ever had.
Today I started new watching set of lectures online I wish it’d be the first set I’ll finish.
Today I enjoyed the night city like I did in home country – that what was missing…
But we’re all strange
And maybe we don’t want to change
The Strumbellas’ ‘Spirits’ just perfectly fits today. The mood, the words, the tone, the melody…. The song of Canadian band was released in August 2015 as a single from their third album ‘Hope’. It found me today. It does matter when and in which circumstances a good song found you. That’s what makes a good song – finding you in the right place in the right mood.
In one interview Simon Ward, The Strumbellas singer, said: “Basically the song is about fighting your inner demons. Trying to change and become a better person in life. I write songs to reflect where I’m at in life, and this song is me saying to the world that I’m doing my absolute best right now to be a good person.”
And I don’t want a never-ending life
I just want to be alive
While I’m here
